Getting started with Lumli

What Lumli is

Lumli is a collection of focused image, passport-photo, PDF, color, and QR tools that run in a modern web browser. The available everyday tools are free, require no account, and are designed around local processing on your device.

Choose a workflow

• Compress: reduce image file size while controlling quality and dimensions.
• Convert: change between common raster formats and supported SVG workflows.
• Resize: change dimensions, aspect ratio, crop, or prepare an image for a target size.
• Remove BG: create a transparent cutout with browser-side AI.
• Retouch: mask and remove an unwanted object or distraction.
• UltraScale: enlarge and enhance an image on supported devices.
• PDF Tools: compress, merge, split, convert images to PDF, or export PDF pages as images.
• Passport Photo: load country and document presets, run local face and quality checks, and export only when the selected official process permits a user-prepared file.
• Color Palette and QR Generator: create reusable design assets locally.
• Escape: compare cities for travel, remote work, or early relocation research using a curated local dataset and transparent tradeoff notes.

Basic workflow

1. 1Open the tool that matches the result you need.
2. 2Select or drag in a supported file. The tool prepares a local preview.
3. 3Adjust the available quality, size, crop, format, color, or operation controls.
4. 4Review the preview and output details before exporting.
5. 5Download the result to your device. Lumli does not automatically replace the original file.

Before using sensitive material

Local processing removes the routine cloud-upload step from the available tools, but no web app can guarantee absolute security. Use an updated trusted browser and device, review organizational policies, and avoid untrusted extensions when working with confidential files.
